Privacy policy
Measurement without surveillance.
We built a company on counting people without identifying them. The same standard applies to this website and to every record we handle. Here is what we collect, what we never collect, and how to reach us about any of it.
01 · Who we are
Reality Engineering, Inc.
Reality Engineering provides trade show measurement and event technology: booth traffic tracking, badge scanning and lead capture, interactive experiences, and event internet. We are located at 421 C Street, Suite 1A, Washougal, WA 98671. For anything in this policy, contact Hello@RealityEngineering.com or call (360) 448-6361.
02 · This website
What we collect here, and what we do with it
You can browse this site without telling us who you are. We collect personal information only when you choose to submit it: booking a demo or requesting a sample report sends us your name, work email, company, and anything you type into the form.
We use that information to respond to you, schedule the meeting you asked for, and send you what you requested. Form submissions and meeting bookings are processed through HubSpot, our customer relationship platform, which stores this data on our behalf. Scheduling and form widgets embedded on this site may set cookies from HubSpot; your browser settings let you refuse cookies, though embedded scheduling may not function without them.
We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information. We may send you follow-up email related to your inquiry; marketing email always includes a way to opt out.
03 · At events
Traffic Tracker counts people, it does not identify them
Our booth traffic analytics use passive LiDAR sensors that register anonymous movement: positions, paths, and dwell times. There are no cameras, no facial recognition, no badge reads, and no personal identifiers of any kind in traffic data. Nobody can be singled out or recognized in a Traffic Tracker dataset, which is why it requires no attendee opt-in.
Badge scanning and lead capture are different: an attendee presents a badge or shares details in a conversation, and that record is created knowingly. We process that data on behalf of the exhibiting client whose booth you visited, deliver it to them encrypted and password protected, and do not use it for our own purposes. Questions about how a specific exhibitor uses lead data should go to that exhibitor; we will help route the request if you contact us.
For healthcare events, additional compliance rules apply, including licensed prescriber verification and transparency reporting handled through our clients. Data is collected proportionately to its business purpose and nothing more.
04 · Your rights
Access, correction, and deletion
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email Hello@RealityEngineering.com with the subject line “Data request” and we will confirm the outcome by email. We honor these requests under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, applicable US state privacy laws, and as a matter of practice for everyone else.
We have not sold personal data and we do not sell personal data.
05 · Security & retention
How records are protected
Sensitive data exchanges use encryption in transit. Client deliverables containing lead data are encrypted and password protected, with passwords sent separately. We retain personal information only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for or as law requires, then delete it.
06 · Changes
Updates to this policy
When we change this policy we will update it here, with the date below. Continued use of the site after a change means the current version applies.
